New OISE EDU:C, Centre for Black Studies in Education

On December 15, 2021, the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) Council approved the creation of a new Extra Departmental Unit C (EDU:C) called “Centre for Black Studies in Education.” The effective date is January 1, 2022.

See the final proposal (PDF) and business essentials document (PDF) for this unit. Lara Cartmale has let us know that OISE is not requesting an org unit be set up in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). This is noted in the business essentials document.
